Abstract:

The model of 80 MW trough solar power plants constructed in Lhasa which uses low melting point molten salt as heat transfer and heat storage material is established by SAM. Taking the efficiency of the trough solar collection system as the optimization objective, the solar power plants model is simulated and optimized by the parametric analysis method. The aperture width of collectors and the layout of solar field are studied mainly. By analyzing the data, the optimum aperture width of trough parabolic concentrator, which is suitable to this solar power plant with molten salt, is obtained. What's more, the optimal layout of solar field, i.e. number of SCA assemblies per loop and actual number of loops, and optimal value of design loop outlet temperature of HTF and number of field subsections are presented. © 2020, Solar Energy Periodical Office Co., Ltd.
