Abstract:
Recycled concrete is green and environmentally freindly, it is thus used as an important material to realize the reuse of construction waste. In order to vigorously promote the research and engineering application of reinforced recycled concrete structures, the research status of reinforced recycled concrete beams, slabs, columns, shear walls, beam-column joints and frame structures in terms of their mechanical performance, seismic performance, fire resistance, performance after chloride ion erosion, creep performance and frost resistance were analyzed alongside their deficiencies. Some typical engineering cases were chosen to indicate the problems that require further investigation. It shows that even if most of the aforementioned properties of reinforced recycled concrete beams, slabs, columns, shear walls, beam-column joints and frame structures are inferior to those of similar reinforced ordinary concrete components (structures), reinforced recycled concrete with reasonable design can achieve performance equivalent to or better than that of ordinary concrete, and can be used in practical engineering. © 2020, Editorial Office of Journal of Building Structures.
