Abstract:

In order to adapt to the development of the railway bridge engineering in severe / alpine regions and off⁃ shore regions with short construction period, and to improve the construction efficiency and quality of railway bridge engineering. A kind of modular prefabricated solid pier used in railway bridge engineering is proposed, which can not only be connected by longitudinal segments, but also be connected horizontally by multiple intercon⁃ nected modules. On this basis, based on ABAQUS program, the numerical analysis of mechanical properties of modular prefabricated bridge piers of railway bridges under monotonic and reciprocating loads is carried out,the pier performance indexes such as bearing capacity, ductility performance, hysteretic performance and residual dis⁃ placement are evaluated. Modular pier have reasonable strength and relatively stable ductility performance, espe⁃ cially energy dissipating reinforcement ratio, vertical load, initial prestress level, and pier height have greater im⁃ pact on the performance of modular prefabricated bridge piers. At the same time, modular bridge piers helps im⁃ prove the self-reset capability and seismic toughness of the structure. This paper aims to provide technical reference for the popularization and application of modular prefabricated pier. © 2022 Authors. All rights reserved.
