Abstract:

In recent years, among the causes of death that are relatively easy to induce, the death rate of cardiovascular disease consistently ranks the first place and continues to rise year by year. The calcium signal involved in calcium ions is the main cause of cardiovascular disease at the microscopic level. Calcium wave is one of the representative calcium signals, so it is important to understand its mechanism. The diffusion and mechanism of calcium waves in the sarcoplasmic reticulum of cardiomyocytes were studied in this paper. Based on the spatial diffusion mechanism of calcium waves in the sarcoplasmic reticulum, a numerical calculation model of calcium waves in the sarcoplasmic reticulum was established by considering the physical spatial structure of calcium waves, the dissociation reaction between calcium ions and other substances, and the transport of calcium ions by calcium pumps. The computer program was used to simulate the calcium waves in the sarcoplasmic reticulum. The model in this paper simulated the triggering and propagating process of the calcium waves in the local myocardium. © 2024 SPIE.
