Abstract:
Submarine pipelines are usually buried in a terrible environment and are subjected to all kinds of environment loadings, in which wave and seismic loadings are the main loadings. In this paper, the dynamic response of seabed around submarine pipeline subjected to the combination of wave and seismic actions are examined by numerical analysis method. Based on numerical examples, it can be concluded that the effect of seismic loading on the pore pressure at the top point of pipeline is more slighter than that at the bottom point when wave and seismic loadings act together. But when wave and seismic loading together, the response at the bottom of pipeline is obviously bigger than that at the top of pipeline because seismic loading acts from the bottom of bedrock. © 2014 ejge.
