Abstract:

A new type of control device, which is fit for the horizontal seismic isolation of a bearing involved three-dimensional seismic isolation for spatial latticed structures, is introduced in the paper. The device is combined frictional sliding system with helical springs. The horizontal seismic isolation of the device mainly depends on frictional sliding system, and its restoring force comes from the incorporated helical springs. Based on the device, the mathematical model of the system was developed, and the relationship between sliding coefficient and amplitude of the sliding displacement were established. Meanwhile, the formula for stiffness calculating of the springs was derived. In addition, the design method for the system was advised.
