Abstract:
In order to investigate the seismic performance of mid-rise recycled concrete shear wall with different percentage of aggregate replacement and different style of reinforcement, 5 mid-rise shear walls were tested under the horizontal cyclic loading. Based on the experiment, the hysteretic behavior, load-carrying capacity, ductility, stiffness and its deterioration process, energy dissipation and failure feature of the specimens were analyzed systematically. The results show that the more the percentage of the aggregate replacement, the poorer the seismic performance of recycled concrete shear walls; and the seismic performance of recycled aggregate concrete shear wall could be greatly improved by setting concealed bracings in the wall. Through reasonable design, the recycled concrete shear wall is able to satisfy the anti-seismic requirements.
