Abstract:
A wind tunnel was applied to investigate the frost characteristics under variable frost conditions: air temperature 10.5°C, relative humidity 80%, wind speed 3 m/s, cold surface temperature varying from -3.5°C to -19.7°C. The characteristics of each dynamic frosting processes, such as frost layer growth rate, defrosting frequency, frost layer thickness, frost weight, frost density and frost thermal coefficient of frosting process were analyzed in detail.
