Abstract:

In order to know the seismic behavior of the shear wall with concrete filled steel tube columns and concealed bracing, seismic behavior experiment research on three shear wall models under cyclic loading action have been done in this paper. 1/5 of the scaled experimental model is used to make one traditional steel reinforced concrete shear wall, one shear wall with rectangular concrete filled steel tube columns and one shear wall with rectangular concrete filled steel tube columns and concealed bracing. Based on the experiment, load-carrying capacity, ductility, stiffness and its degradation, hysteretic property, energy dissipation and failure phenomena of each shear wall are analyzed. A load-carrying capacity mechanical model is established. The results obtained from the calculation are in good agreement with those from the experiment. The results show that this kind of shear wall has excellent seismic behavior.
