Abstract:

In this paper, the influences of different parameters on the fouling process were simulated. The asymptotic fouling curves varying with time were obtained. The fouling rate and asymptotic fouling resistance increase with the fluid velocity decreasing and the increasing of heat transfer surface temperature, solution temperature, hardness, alkalinity and pH of the solution. The influences of different parameters on the fouling process were analyzed to understand fouling mechanisms.
