Abstract:

A new low heat input digital welding power source control system, which adopts inverter technology using IGBT, is developed based on TMS320F2812 DSP chip. For the need of the low heat input welding, authors designed the special welding wire motion and current wave. By using A/D sampling and calibration, multi-parameter PI modulation, and D/A converter, the welding parameters can be easily controlled with high precision. The control system which has high response and low heat input can be achieved.
