Abstract:

This paper discoursed on the fruit of research on durability of the fiber-reinforced plastics (FRP) strengthened concrete structures, then introduced the mechanical properties and failure mechanism of concrete structures reinforced with glass FRP (GFRP), carbon FRP (CFRP) and aramid FRP (AFRP) under different experimental conditions (chemical eroding, wet/dry cycle and freeze-thaw cycle). Finally some suggestions were put forward about research direction for enhancing durability of FRP reinforced concrete structures.
