Abstract：

An　image　segmentation　method　based　on　modified　genetic　algorithms　is　presented.　The　segmentation　method　is　optimized　and　the　entropy　of　histogram　is　taken　as　the　segmentation　quality　criteria.　This　method　can　improve　the　speed　of　algorithms　compared　with　traditional　methods,　especially　in　processing　frame　sequential　images.
