Abstract:
The Internet and other technologies provide unprecedented possibility for university students to access information from all around the world. The experience of being immersed in pervasive information space is commonplace and allows students to accelerate their learning if appropriate learning method is adopted. The constructivist paradigm supported by semiotics offers an effective approach to information provision, which will enable students to benefit from the pervasive information space. Based on others' research on semantic analysis and ontology modelling, a model for Internet information provision is proposed. This ontology processor generates advice to the responsible staff, such as university instructors or tutors to take appropriate action in information provision.
