Abstract：

This　paper　introduces　the　basic　principle　of　ELID　grinding　and　analyzes　the　process　mechanism.　The　technology　of　ELID　grinding　is　successfully　applied　for　super-precision　mirror　surface　grinding　of　hard　and　brittle　materials.　©　2001　Trans　Tech　Publications.
