Abstract:

The measurement method of volumetric errors is one of the most important technologies in the field of precision CNC (Computer Numerical Control) processing. None of the existing measurement method based on the dual-frequency laser interferometer give an accurate and clear idea alone. This paper presents the universal kinematics error modeling of CNC machines using the multi-body system and deduced the relative displacement error model. By measuring the component errors of 14 lines in the specific planes, combining with the least-squares linear fit method at the same time, all the 21 error parameters can be calculated. This method has the characteristics of universality, solving conveniently and high precision. © 2015 Taylor and Francis Group, London.
