Abstract:
In view of the hydrostatic bearing solid-liquid interface velocity slip phenomenon, traditional Reynolds equation is modified by introducing the Navier velocity slip boundary condition to oil film flow control equations. The finite difference method and corresponding calculating program are used to solve the modified Reynolds equation. Sensitivity parameters describing the effect degree of velocity slip on hydrostatic bearing performances are defined in order to make a quantitative and qualitative analysis. Velocity slip improves bearing capacity to a certain extent, but decreases the maximum oil cavity pressure in bearing. The maximum sensitivity of oil cavity pressure is about 7%, the sensitivity of bearing capacity is around 81%.
