After　the　successful　bidding　of　the　2008　Olympic　Games,　the　Chinese　government　and　the　Beijing　Municipal　People＇s　Government　have　been　making　preparations　across　the　board　in　order　to　host　the　event　in　a　smooth　and　successful　manner;　they　have　made　tremendous　investment　in　science　and　technology　for　the　purpose　of　bringing　about　the　idea　of　High-tech　Olympics.　This　article　discusses　the　origin　and　development　of　the　idea　of　High-tech　Olympics　and　the　efforts　of　implementation　the　idea　made　by　various　relevant　departments　and　agencies.
