Abstract:
This paper describes a PC-based system for multiparameter monitoring. This system provides real-time waveforms and numeric values for the 11 standard of care" measurements used in hospitals-ECG, respiration, SpO(2), non-invasive blood pressure, and temperature in a family environment while cutting down the cost because of little hardware, which makes monitoring patients at home viable and inexpensive. This system consists of several analysis modules, a PC, which is very common in families, and a software designed for it. Its stable capability and low cost make it be able to be accepted by most families.
