Abstract:
The results of the tribological studies of five ceramic materials, B4C, SiC, Si3N4, Al2O3, and ZrO2, which were tested under the conditions of dry friction and with a lubricant (in Turbo Oil 2380), are presented. The wear rates of ceramics-steel hybrid friction pairs in a lubricating medium and under dry friction were determined. The results of the tests make it possible to rank the ceramic materials with respect to the effectiveness of application in ceramics-ShKh15 steel hybrid sliding friction pairs.
