Abstract:
Freezing reinforcement and mining excavation were jointly conducted in recovering a collapsed tunnel in Shanghai metro No.4 line. According to the basic theory and engineering experience of artificial freezing, freezing system and parameters for the recovering collapsed tunnel were determined. Forced thawing was implemented sequentially for different sub-regions. Fill grouting between the structure and the frozen wall and thaw-settlement compensation grouting were used for control of strata thaw settlement.
