Abstract:

Cloud radio access network (C-RAN) opens up new opportunities to have a better resource management of mobile network on the basis of centralized processing. The fronthaul, which transfers signals between baseband units (BBUs) and remote radio units (RRUs), is confronted with bandwidth allocation problem when multimedia multicast technique is introduced. In this paper, we propose an algorithm using integer non-linear programming (INLP) model to improve the bandwidth allocation efficiency of fronthaul considering of information sharing in multicast. Good results can be achieved in the numerical simulations. © 2016 IEEE.
