Abstract：

We　show　that　nanophotonic　device　performance　scales　non-monotonically　with　critical　length　and　define　the　metric　to　assess　the　quality　of　photodetector　and　conversion　processes.　We　show　an　example　of　a　2D　material-based　solar　cell.　©　OSA　2016.
