Abstract:
In recent years, the massive increase of obsolete CRT has caused adverse impacts. To conserve resources, protect the environment and achieve the sustainable development, it is very necessary to recycle the precious rare earth from obsolete CRT. The current researches on this field are still in early stage in our country and abroad. In this paper, we reviewed the previous related studies and then summarized the related technology for recycling rare earth in the aspects of fluorescent layer separation and rare earth recovery. At last, we anticipated that the future direction of researches on recovery of rare earth from obsolete CRT would be on the energy saving through optimizing the process, reaction kinetics and so on. © 2016, Editorial Office of "Chinese Rare Earths".
