Abstract:

Presents the results of numerical simulation for a curved duct flow by means of large eddy simulation (LES). The finite element method Taylor-Galerkin scheme is used in the simulation. The results of calculation coincide with Taylor's experiments reasonably. It demonstrates that LES technique is especially available for flow situations with complicated geometrical boundary system in which always exist anisotropic large vortexes.
