Abstract:

Presents the results of numerical simulation on turbulent flow in a circular-section 90-degree bend by means of large eddy simulation (LES). The Taylor-Galerkin finite element method is used in the simulation. The results of calculation coincide with experiments reasonably. It demonstrates that LES technique is especially available for flow situations with complicated geometrical boundary system in which there are always anisotropic large vortexes.
