Abstract:
Comprehensively considering the government, operators and travelers, the paper proposes the concept of coordination of the multi-modal public transport system. A model was established to evaluate the degree of coordination for multi-modal public transport based on Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). The effectiveness of the coordination in a multi-modal public transport system was analyzed. Also, the lack of input and redundancy of output were analyzed in the model, which have given technical support for the improvement of multi-modal public transport. The effects of different factors which had an impacted on the coordination were analyzed quantitatively in the paper. Finally, a case was given to explain the application of the evaluation method. © 2010 ASCE.
