Abstract:
The method of steel bars spliced by compressive sleeves is a new type of connection technology for prefabricated RC structures. The aseismic behavior under cyclic loading for two precast RC columns with steel bars spliced by compressive sleeves and different parameters were modeled by the software of MSC.MARC. The simulation results show that the hysteretic curves, skeleton curves, and failure patterns of columns match well with the experimental results. The results verify the correction of the finite element model for the precast columns and the validity of the simulation method, and a foundation for the aseismic performance simulation of prefabricated RC frames with compressive sleeve connection is put forward. © 2018, Engineering Mechanics Press.
