Abstract:
Based on the stone curtain wall project in Great Mosque of Algiers, the seismic performance of the stone curtain wall was studied with two sets of 1:1 scale shaking table test. The quality correction coefficient was introduced to simplify the model of the stone curtain wall to solve the natural frequency after the damage of the wall. The results showed that the natural frequency is reduced after the looseness and damage of the pendant and the stone; the acceleration response is greatly affected by the position and size of the pendant and there is a certain gap between the stone and the pendant, which increases the acceleration response of the stone, but at the same time reduces the internal force requirement of the pendant. © 2022, Editorial Board of World Earthquake Engineering.
